‘i got lost going to the library’ - 2018
The “i got lost going to the library” prints were created from photos taken during bus trips between Milan – where Clémence was studying – and the French village where she grew up. They serve as a visual representation of the connection between these two places, capturing both the changing landscape from rural to urban and the journey of time and memory.Beyond the physical mapping of the journey, “i got lost going to the library” also delves into the emotional and nostalgic aspects of this connection. Through this series, Clémence aims to explore the complex relationship between place, time, and memory. By visually documenting her journeys through this liminal in- between space, she seeks to understand how the landscapes we encounter shape our sense of self and our connection to the past.
